Make a card, a marker, or a divider#

A shape is a piece of color you can place in the design. A rectangle can sit behind a heading like a card, a circle can act as a marker, and a line can separate two sections.

Shapes do not need a photo or a recorded value. You choose their shape, color, size, and position. Open a saved widget in Library, tap Design Visually, then use Add to put one on the canvas.

To find Add, tap the empty canvas outside the widget preview to leave any selection. Add appears in the toolbar below the preview. Once you add a piece, select it to open its own tools.

Add a shape#

Tap Add → Photos & Icons → Shape. Select it and open Shape. Choose Rectangle, Capsule, or Circle.

Set its fill#

In Shape → Fill, choose a preset, your own color, or Gradient. A gradient offers two colors and an angle. To soften a rectangle’s corners, select the shape and open Shape → Rounded corners, then drag the ruler. That button appears only when Rectangle is chosen.

Add a line#

Tap Add → Photos & Icons → Line. Select the line and open Color to set a solid color or gradient. Use Thickness in the Color tray to set its width.

Place it#

Use Position & Size to move, resize, rotate, or fade the shape or line. Use the layer’s More actions to send it behind something else or bring it forward.
