Create with AI
Describe a widget, preview a version, and ask for changes.
In this guide
Start a whole design from a description#
Use this when you have an idea for a widget but do not want to place every piece yourself. Describe what it should show and how it should look. The app’s chat makes a version you can inspect, revise, and save.
For example, ask for today’s steps beside your next event. Then check the preview: does it show the information you wanted, and is the text readable? You can ask for another version or open the visual editor to make your own changes.
This begins in Library → New Widget with AI, rather than the Add panel of an existing widget. It requires sign-in and Pro. A generated result can vary, so review it before saving.
Start a widget#
In Library, tap New Widget with AI. Sign in and check Pro when the app asks. Building widgets with AI is part of Pro.
Describe what you want to see and how it should look, then tap Send. For example: “A medium widget with today’s steps on the left and the next event on the right.”
Preview and revise#
Open a generated version to see its preview. Ask for changes in the same chat to get another version. You can also tap Customize Visually on a version to use the visual editor.
Save the version you want#
In the version preview, tap Save to My Widgets. If that chat already saved a widget, the action is Update My Widget and replaces the page it saved before.
Saving to Library is separate from adding it to your Home Screen. Choose it under Edit Widget → Content.
If a request fails#
The chat shows the error. Use Try Again when offered. If the widget preview has an error, review the message before saving that version.
Use another AI#
Library offers Share the AI Guide and Copy the AI Guide. Give that guide to the AI you use, describe your widget, then copy its HTML answer.
Open Paste a Widget from AI in Library, paste the answer, check the widget, and save it. See importing and sharing.
